| Nice reasonably priced book that does a good job of explaining various methods of creating mosaics, with the plus and minus of each method discussed. Good examples of finished work and a few patterns for smaller pieces included. |

This is a big rather pricey book with wonderful photographs of mosaic floors from centuries of Italian craftsmanship. Wonderful inspiration for a classic look. Good resource for mosaic floor designs-see in the color photos how the light and dark colors work together. |

This book is beautiful. Though, I definitely do not recommend this for beginners or for someone who wants step by step instructions. This book shows the author taking inspiration for contemporary projects.

The following books can help you come up with moaic floor designs you like and good designs for mosaic borders. Just use an enlarging color copier to increase the design to the size you need. Places like Kinkos & Office Depot can do really large copies for you.

Before I began to cut my own tiles, I bought a lot on eBay. The sellers were very reliable and fun to do business with. Many people just sell tiles to make enuf money to pay for their hobby.
